How-To: How to Create a Multi-Step Content Approval Workflow – ContentCal
Today we are going to take you through a video on how to setup multi-step approval workflows, which can be really great when working in collaboration with a wider team and stakeholders for social media publishing.
Invite people to an existing content calendar or if you are setting up a new content calendar, simply click on People section and then Invite and then select people, also choose whether they are a team member or client.
They will receive an email notification to say that they have been invited to the content calendar. At this point they have access to the calendar, but do not have permissions to add, amend and so on. You can assign Permissions by going into the content calendar, at the top choose Members and Approvals and select the member from there and choose their level of permission that you want them to have.
Underneath the section where you have invited members to the content calendar, there is an Approval Workflow at the bottom. Here you can select members from your team to assign them to approve social media content. You can choose 1, 2 or 3 step approval process depending on who has to see the work and sign it off. If you select a 2 step approval, then once you have created your post and sent for approval, it will go to the first person in the approval workflow process, if they are happy with the content, then approve it, it will go to the second person to approve. At each step, if the approver has some comments or feedback, they can simply add those and send back to you to amend.
Once you create a post in the content calendar, send for approval – it will follow the workflow process for approval to the people that have been setup to approve – they will get an email notification to approve it and you can track, where it is in the approval process.
You can also setup lots of social media posts, save them and go into your List view to see all the posts that you have in drafts – you can amend and develop them ready to be sent to the first approver and when you are finished, hit send.
This is a great workflow approval features for signing off on social media content, through a multi step approval process and saves a lot of time in sending them emails and so on.
